A Machine Control Installation Engineer is required to join one of the UK's leading hire equipment organisations. We form part of Ashtead Group which is a FTSE 100 and can offer excellent training opportunities with great scope for progression, supporting you throughout your career.

Roles and responsibilities

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Machine Control Installation Engineer to fit Machine Control systems and provide training and support to customers in a fast-moving hire and sales environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing Machine Control systems on customer’s machinery.

 

This role requires varied travel around the UK and regular nights staying away, this role would suit an experienced mechanical fitter or similar.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Installation of Machine Control Systems
  • Calibration of systems to ensure they meet the high accuracy required by clients
  • Training of the operators
  • On-going support of installed systems
  • Service work

Skills required

  • Good communication skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electronics
  • Familiarity with Construction Machinery and basic operation
  • Welding and basic fabrication skills
