The Parliamentary Security Department provides an effective, professional and consistently competent security service for both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
A team of uniformed Operations Managers provide security management for the Parliamentary estate working closely with the Police and manage the day to day operations of the parliamentary security workforce of c.350 staff, a 24/7, 365 operation.
These posts report to the Duties and Tasking Supervisor who has responsibility for publishing the Duties, managing overtime and administrating the Time and Attendance Logging Systems (TALS).
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Ability to make impartial decisions relating to employees, ensuring the policies are applied consistently and fairly across a large operational workforce.
- Ability to build good relationships and co-operate with others, removing barriers to promote effective working relationships and uphold principles of equality, diversity and inclusion
- Proven experience of attention to detail in reporting data and trends and ability to highlight and manage error reporting rates
