An opportunity has arisen within our Business Fire Safety Team for Lead Fire Safety Inspecting Officers, based at one of the Fire Safety District Offices. (Final base location decided after the successfull induction period).
The overall purpose of the role is to be responsible in assisting District Managers in the management of Fire Safety Inspecting Officers workloads, checking correspondence, preparation and serving of enforcement notices, leading in complex audits/investigations and in formulating technical fire safety solutions.
To be considered for this role applicants will be required to have a working knowledge of the role Business Fire Safety Inspecting Officers in the business community together with a working knowledge of Fire Safety procedures and management systems. Applicants must understand the methodology required to provide a quality service. Accredited advanced Fire Safety Courses are required to have been completed by candidates.
Applicants must have proven experience in aspects of administration and/or technical/enforcement work in a Fire Safety environment, be able to work in accordance within current legislative parameters and understand risk management.. Applicants must have excellent written and communication skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads. All applicants must have a current driving licence.
The key duties will include the support and management of Inspecting Officers in all aspects of the role.
