Location: Northfield Leisure Centre, B31 2PD

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £18,250 per annum + commission

We are currently recruiting for a Membership Advisor to work 40hrs per week between Monday to Sunday.


Job Purpose

The MA will be responsible for the delivery of the monthly and annual sales targets thus having a direct financial impact on the financial success for the contract. The role will be measured on a number of other KPI’s including mystery shop scores and customer service standards. The MA will be responsible for the delivery of pre-sales across the BCLT contract in relation to the new sites that are opening.


Reason For Role

To drive Health & Fitness membership sales across the Birmingham Community Leisure Trust contract in line with business plan financial targets. To directly lead the membership advisors and positively influence the wider team in relation to membership sales across the contract. To be a driving force in customer service standards, lead the role out of process and technology and take responsibility for all mystery shops related to sales. To deliver the required volume of pre-sales for the new opening sites in Birmingham.


Main Duties and Responsibilities;

The role is a 5 day per week role, with a flexible approach to work based on the needs of the business. The MA will support the Regional Sales Manager with the delivery of their sales targets on monthly basis. The MA will report directly to the General Manager.
* Pre-Sales
* Impact sales
* Auditing of membership sales, cancellations and pending members
* Management of sale processes
* Daily / Weekly / Monthly sales performance against target
* Working with key stakeholders


Essential / Desirable Skills for the role;
* Formal sales & management qualifications desirable
* Level 2 gym instructor desirable
* Energetic approach to leading a team
* Committed to the delivery of sales targets, no matter what
* Drive passion for the overall standard of our centres
* Confident using a sales prospecting system
* Extremely confident communicating on the phone and face to face
* Formal sales & management qualifications desirable
* Extensive experience of working in a busy sales environment and working to targets
* Experience in membership sales in leisure / fitness industry.
* Experience in dealing with high volumes of customers.
