Free holidays for those injured or disabled in Iraq and Afghanistan

If you know any Service people who have been physically injured or disabled while on active service during the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, let them know about a great offer for a free holiday from the Legion and Vitalise.
The Royal British Legion is funding holidays at Vitalise resorts in Southport and Southampton during April 2009.

The Legion is offering fantastic all expenses paid adventure holidays for beneficiaries’ children until 23 August.
Holidays are provided by Kids Klub Activity Holidays, a reputable company that has been providing residential adventure and activity holidays for 12 – 17 year olds for 21 years.

The seven night (Saturday to Saturday) package includes:
- full board accommodation (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
- over 50 on-site activities
- a trip to a nearby theme park
- 24 hour a day supervision
- pocket money
- transport to and from the centre.

Accommodation is in boarding schools and the company is inspected by the British Activity Holiday Association (BAHA) and OFSTED to ensure the safety of the children in their care.

Holidays this summer are available at Worksop College in Nottinghamshire, Pangbourne College near Reading, Buckinghamshire and The Old Malthouse, Langton Matravers, Dorset.
The offer is open to children:
- from a one parent household because of bereavement or break up of the family
- from a family with one parent currently serving on overseas operations
- from a family where a parent is caring for a disabled partner
- from a family who have not had a holiday or break away from home in 3 years
- from a 1 or 2 parent household with less than £25,000 gross annual income per year
- 12 to 17 years of age next birthday.

Families who need a break this summer can take advantage of an all expenses paid holiday at Pontin’s Holiday Centres around the country – courtesy of the Legion. |
| The seven night full-board package (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is available in any of Pontin’s seven centres from Saturday to Saturday until the end of October. Accommodation is in a one or two bedroom apartment with a bathroom, lounge with TV and kitchenette.
There’s lots to do for all ages including entertainment in the evenings and a ‘go active’ package of additional activities for the more adventurous.
The offer is open to families:
- with less than £25000 gross annual income
- with a single parent suffering a bereavement or break up of the family
- with one parent currently serving on overseas operations
- who have one parent suffering from mental or physical trauma
- where one parent is caring for a disabled partner
- who have not had a holiday away from home in three years.

| The centres are in Brean Sands, Somerset; Prestatyn, North Wales; Southport, Merseyside; Hemsby, Norfolk Broads; Camber Sands, Kent; Blackpool, Lancs; and Pakefield, Lowestoft, Suffolk.
