The Civvy Street website attracts over 4000 clients per month to the wealth of information that it provides but it also provides valuable resources and tools for professionals working with Service leavers and members of the ex-Services community (inc Reservist) and dependants. Until now, these resources have only been accessible to registered members but this is now changing.
The new Members section of the site will provide information on news and events relevant to organisations working in this sector. It also provides information on development of qualifications and standards in service delivery. The Civvy Street Partnership aims to keep all practitioners in touch with the latest developments in the sector and to ensure that our target client group are satisfied with the service that they receive.
A new facility, available this month, is the events booking tool. Details of the Civvy Street Workshop programme can be found here. In order to register for an event, go the Events section of the site. This facility is also available for use by Member organisations to promote their own event so if you have an event that would be of interest to other members, please log into the Members section of the site to find out how.
You can also promote your organisation through Civvy Street. By adding your details into our Partner Directory, you can provide visitors to the site with information about your organisation and what you do, as well as signing up for delivery of services through Civvy Street. This will provide a webpage about your organisation with the ability to update it yourself.
The Member section features all the latest news from the Civvy Street Partnership as well as a copies of previous newlsetters. We are launching a number of new features and improvements to the Members section on the 26th February 2008 to coincide with the first of the Partner workshops. The next newsletter in March will provide full details of the new website features but if you want to see the features first hand, book yourself a place on the workshop.
