What we do
We are probably best known for organising the annual Scottish Poppy Appeal, which raised a record £1.76 million in 2007. We provide year-round support to the ex-Service community in need and because of the increasing demands on our resources we organise many events and activities throughout the year.
We are a registered charity, founded in 1921 as the Earl Haig Fund Scotland, by Field Marshal Earl Haig, to provide practical help in time of need to all ex-Servicemen, women and their dependants.
In 2006 we launched a new identity – Poppyscotland, to help with easier identification of our round the year work in fundraising and support to veterans. The Earl Haig Fund Scotland has not disappeared – it remains our legally-registered name.
