Working in partnership to provide specialist services
Civvy Members are drawn from organisations and agencies which help Service leavers make the transition to civilian life. This includes Service leavers organisations and the voluntary, public and private sectors working with the Service leavers community.
These organisations provide transition, learning and work support services for disadvantaged groups or individuals. They work together to provide clients with a single access point to specialist services.
Putting clients in touch with members
The Civvy Street site puts members in direct contact with clients by signposting clients to members who can deliver the services they need. It enables members to respond directly to these clients' requests for services and allows members to promote their own organisations and the services they provide.
Access to a wealth of valuable information
Information available to members on the site includes an information resources library, research documents, illustrative practice and labour market information.
A targeted client group
By becoming members of Civvy Street, organisations that work with the Service leavers community can gain access to their targeted client group.
Professional and organisational development
The site provides members with opportunities for individual as well as organisational professional development.
On-line training and support
Membership provides access to specialised eLearning packages - some specially developed for Civvy Street.
Funding opportunities
Members can benefit from Civvy Street's access to funding opportunities for the Service leavers community.
Illustrative practice sharing
Since no organisation can truly claim to exemplify best practice for every situation, Civvy Street has gathered information and resources to show how others have implemented quality standards and statutory requirements.
