Rights of ex-Forces Personnel

As a British citizen you are entitled to the same rights as other citizens. These include rights like education and belonging to a trades union and state benefits such as income support and housing benefit.

As a member of the ex-forces community to may have the right to a range of additional support, from help finding a job and somewhere to live, to financial assistance including compensation if appropriate. .

There are different types of financial help which you may be entitled to if you have served in the UK Armed Forces. You may be entitled to a service pension which will be determined by the length of your service and your rank. If you were medically discharged you may be eligible for a disablement pension or compensation. There are also a range of welfare benefits you may be able to claim.
