Whether it is about faulty goods or services, sooner or later most of us will need to make a complaint.
Customer Services
Many organisations have a customer services department that will deal with complaints. If they don’t help, you can take the complaint further by putting it in writing to the organisation concerned.
Ombudsman
If you are still unhappy with the way your complaint has been dealt with there is an ombudsman for many types of organisation. For example, the telecommunications industry's ombudsman is called OFTEL, the Office of Telecommunications. An ombudsman is an unbiased organisation which investigates complaints and can settle the dispute between you and the organisation you are complaining against.
