Resettling ex-offenders and prisoners
Settling back into Civvy Street can be a challenge for any ex-service man or woman. The challenge can seem much greater if you are an offender or ex-offender. Many organisations have services designed to meet this challenge, and can offer you lots of advice, information and guidance. They can help you with housing, education and training, benefits and work. They will support you while you are still in prison and after you have left.
Through their national network of trained Caseworkers, The Royal British Legion is working jointly with SSAFA Forces Help on a Prison In-Reach programme. Together, they offer advice and practical support to ex-Service people who are serving a prison sentence and their immediate dependants.
