The Armed Forces Resettlement Programme includes a housing briefing run by the Joint Services Housing Advice Office (JSHAO). JSHAO provides housing information and advice to all Service personnel and their families, in particular those about to return to civilian life and those ex-service personnel who are still in Service accommodation.
The housing briefing focuses on the various accommodation options available post-discharge including:
- social housing - council and housing associations
- renting privately
- buying and mortgages
- housing purchase schemes
- MoD nominations scheme
- contact for other organisations able to assist with accommodation.
