Many Service and ex-Service organisations offer financial assistance to Serving and ex-Services personnel and members of their families to support a course of study or training. This may include assistance with the added costs and expenses associated with studying.

Be the Boss is a UK Government funded scheme to help Service leavers looking to start their own business or become self-employed. It provides Service leavers with grants and loans to start or grow a business.

RBL Women's Section President's Award Scheme
The scheme provides educational sponsorship by way of educational grants and scholarships to ex-Servicewomen and their dependants. Assistance is awarded to those seeking first degrees, and grants are awarded towards re-training programmes, books, travel costs and other related costs.

Royal British Legion Attendants Company Trust
The objectives of the Charity are to promote the Rehabilitation and Resettlement in Civilian Life or otherwise assist Men and Women who have previously served in the Armed Forces of the Crown, (and in some circumstances their dependants) who are in need of assistance.
