The type of course you choose will depend on your current academic qualifications, on how long you are willing (and able) to study and whether you are able to travel/relocate.
You may choose to study in a further education college for a vocational qualification, or for academic qualifications leading to university entrance. Higher education is usually a longer term commitment, with degree courses lasting at least three years, though some postgraduate courses - such as the Postgraduate Certificate in Education for teaching - can last just one year.
