Childcare grant
For full-time students with dependant children in registered or approved childcare. How much help you get is based on your actual childcare costs and will depend on your income and that of your dependants.
Adult dependants' grant
If you have a husband, wife or partner, or another family member who is financially dependant on you, you may be eligible. How much you get depends on your income and that of your dependants. You apply for this help through your local authority ( LA).
Parents’ learning allowance
For full-time students with dependant children. How much you get depends on your income and that of your dependants. You apply for this help through your LA.
Child Tax Credit
Students with dependent children may be eligible for Child Tax Credit from the Inland Revenue. The money you get depends on your circumstances and income. The Inland Revenue website allows you to check how much you could get and to make your claim on-line immediately.
