Hi wayne,

 

I too cannot settle after 10 years after leaving next year. Security and dull jobs is all i have done since leaving.

Dear Users

 

I'm sorry to hear you are finding it difficult to settle since leaving the Armed Forces .  We at Civvy Street are available 9-5 Monday to Friday and we can assist with a whole manner of things from help with your CV, Application forms and general Careers Advice to a vocational training grant for a maximum of £3,000 for low earners,unemployed or low skilled applicants.  There are criteria that must be met in order to be eligable for the grant, an application form can be down loaded once you register on the Civvy Street website or you can call the Civvy Street free phone number 0800 169 4073 for advice and assistance.

Catch 22 you maybe like me wayne screwed. Crap job , i hate security want out asap. Legion couldnt help with housing, me wife and 2 kids had to get a mortage costing a fortune in essex. Wife works too.

No resstlement when i left 6 years army service in 99. All the scum get bigger council houses, so i had to take one massive gamble considering my crap job. Cannot afford a course to study, and even if i wanted to. I would lose money when doing the course of which i can ill afford! This idea will not help all ex service personnel!
