Hello!

Hello to all users on here,I`m new to this site so I`m still finding my way...only just found out about this site which appears to be helpful

I came out the Army `89 and basically gone from one dead end job to another so I guess I`m going through a mid life crisis and would love a change in career/fortune

I have a family,partner,2 kids, own house and currently an unemployed driver to which,I guess,is why I `d love a change in career as the whole aspect of driving has become so stressful

Has there been any success stories on here,or as they say,"I`m barking up the wrong tree",maybe there`s someone in the same boat as myself but can someone please tell me wether theres another life out there

Well I guess thats my sob story out the way but I promise any future posts will be more positive

Morning campers!I guess theres either not many users on here or I bored the pants off everyone or 2?......could I be looking at the twighlight zone here IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE

I know lets talk about the weather, that seems to work in this country as a topic starter or what about the cricket even, total washout

Yes I know it`s a job forum but hey I`ve had enough of filling out forms and chasing me backside, being let down and all, anyone else get the feeling

Personally I`ve had help from SSAFA and the British Legion over the past year to which I owe immensely and don`t know what I`d have done without them,so big thankyou to them for being there but I still feel as though I`m treading water

Don`t get me wrong but when I get out of this mess I`ll be repaying SSAFA and the British Legion in the form of a charity event, maybe a Marathon or something

I guess I`m waffling a bit now chaps but I feel happier for getting my thanks in so if anyone wants to come back with a reply I`m always here for a chat I guess

Hi,

Sorry its been a bit lonely. You are the pioneer user of this forum and I hope you continue to contribute.

The site is in its infancy and I ( the site manager) am spending a lot of time developing services and promoting it to individuals and organisations etc. I am optimistic it will prove a success and many more people will start to use the site and contribute to its development and theirs by posting comments (polite) on the forum pages

Please continue to use the forum and bear with us whilst we spread the word

Hi baz

going through the same as you left the navy in 92, bounced around from job to job. Now looking at leaving driving HGVs and going into plumbing. Through it would be easy but no such luck. The question is do you pour money into a new project or carry  on with the stress of the old life. They are looking at 5 and half grand to retrain with no help for funding, Don't beleive what the goverment say about help.

Still be nice to hear from anyone else out there with a sucess story!!!

cheers   ken

Ken,

Good to see someone else apart from meself and one or two on here?..I suppose I got a bit dispondant about the lack of replies or support,so I  give up I guess, but I do dip in now and then.

Like yourself I`d love to do something constructive and get away from the daily rat-race that is Driving for a livingbut I see no way forward, and all I can do is carry on until I drop I guess?

I `m afraid all the success stories are knowhere near this site matey and all`s I can offer you is every bit of luck you can find, but most of all...KEEP SMILIN`...
