I have just left the Navy after spending 2 years as an aircraft technician.  I want to become an electrician, i have sent out cv's to over 50 companies in the last 3 months and had only one reply turning me down.  Im a 21 year old female with an NVQ 2 in Aeronautical Engineering and a pre-apprenticeship award in electrical, mechanical and welding.

Why wont anyone touch me? what am i doing wrong?  how do I get an apprenticeship with someone?

PLEASE HELP ME

Thanks

 Dear Katie,

I was facing the same problem and now it is a bit better as I found a job. If you need a regular paycheck while you looking for some serious opportunity I suggest you to look at this job centre here - http://myjobcentre.co.uk/ -
That is micro job website and there you can find something that you could do for small fee!
I have there regular income and i am quite happy with that!

Regards,
Anne
