Dear Andrea,

Resettlement entitlement really depends on the length of time your partner has served, I would suggest visiting the CTP website www.ctp.org.uk they deliver the resettlement contract on behalf of the MOD and their website will advise you of the eligibility. There is support available also from the RFEA (Regular Forces Employment Association) www.rfea.org.uk

May I make you aware of the on line job database within the Civvy Street Website, there are many vacancies on there. Also please be advised that we at Civvy Street are here to assist with a whole manner of advice and information on CVs, Application Forms and Interview Techniques. You or your partner may need to re-train, if so we may be able to help with a vocational training grant subject to you meeting qualifying criteria. These grants are aimed at getting low skilled, low paid or unemployed ex service personnel into sustainable employment.

For housing advice you can contact the British Legion on 08457 725 725

There is assistance available to you so please do not hesiate to contact Civvy Street if we can assist in any way.

Regards

Jill

Dear Andrea,

I am unable to advise on whether your partner will be eligible for resettlement. I would suggest you follow this link http://www.ctp.org.uk/ctp/serviceleav... as it will take you directly to the locations of The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) You can then click on the location closest to where your partner serves currently. Your partner will need to call them as for data protection reasons they will be unable to discuss his eligibility with you, they will be the best people to advise him on any resettlement funding and advice that may be available to him. They will also be able to advise him if they have received his MOD 1173 which is the paperwork they require in order to start the resettlement process for him. If they have not received anything then they can advise him on the best course of action. They will also be able to assist him with a CV and enable him to attend a 1 day housing brief which you may also be able to attend with him.

Please let me know if I can assist with anything else as there is lots of support available to you both from various organisations which Civvy Street can assist you in finding.

Good luck

Jill Owens - Civvy Street
