Marigold..

I guess we just get stuck in a rut so it`s probably down to ourselves but I just wonder if there are any success stories from the use of facilities like Civvy St or are we so deep in that rut we can`t see past our own failures ...

I don`t think I`ve ever been happy since I`ve been out but hopefully one day I`ll wake up and do something about it before it`s too late but somehow I can`t see past that rather large trench I`m stuck in

Good luck with your CRB by the way as no doubt your still waiting ..

Dear Bazmorg

I can advise that there have been lots of success stories with Civvy Street, predominantly with the Vocational Training Grants for the unemployed and low earners, but also with Careers advice  and CV assistance.  if you feel we can assist you in any way, please contact us and maybe we can find a way forward for you.

Kind regards

IAG advisor..

Thankyou for your response..

I`m sure there are success stories,it`s just a shame they don`t appear on this board just to give us stragglers a bit of hope and much needed kick up the rear end ...

I`m not sure wether or not I qualify as a low earner, maybe careers advice but my CV is up to date so it probably would mean myself having to pay for training as I have done up to date,to which I am no longer in a position to ..

Dear Bazmorg

To see if you are eligable and qualify as a low earner please call us on 0800 169 4073, perhaps you could email your CV for critique and feedback or we could talk about your career path and any other options that are available to you.

I agree, it would be great if the success stories put their details on here, it would be great for all the forum users to see that Civvy Street can assist in so many ways.

Please call or email me info@civvystreet.org

Kind regards

Jill
